What size leggings should I choose? The simple guide

Legging léopard Féline beige porté de face

Leggings that are too big slip down and lose their sculpting effect. Too small, and they squeeze and turn see-through when you squat. The good news: with the right method, you'll find your size first time. Here's how.

Why leggings measurements look so small

In our size guide, the measurements are for the garment laid flat, without stretching the fabric. Leggings are made to fit snugly: their waist is deliberately smaller than yours, and the fabric stretches to hug your figure.

That's why you shouldn't compare these numbers with your own waist measurement. Leggings that measure 52 cm flat fit very well on a much larger waist: that's exactly what creates the support and tummy-control effect.

The most reliable method: compare with leggings you love

  1. Take a pair of sports leggings that fit you perfectly.
  2. Lay them flat on a table, without pulling.
  3. Measure the width of the waistband from edge to edge, then multiply by 2: that's the waist measurement.
  4. Do the same at the hips, at the widest point.
  5. Compare with the table for the style you like and pick the closest size.

Think about length too: if you're petite or tall, check the “Length” column to see where the leggings will end on your ankle.

Your size by style

Iconic leggings and flare leggings: your usual size

The Iconic leggings and the Iconic flare leggings have a classic high-waisted, tummy-control cut, without scrunch. Take your usual size.

Galbea scrunch leggings: size down for more support

The Galbea scrunch leggings are made of very stretchy seamless fabric. Your usual size gives a comfortable fit. If you want firmer support and a stronger sculpting effect, you can size down.

Féline and Galbea Signature leggings: already cut to sculpt

The Féline leggings and the Galbea Signature leggings are designed to give sculpting support in your usual size. Take your size, or size up if you prefer a looser fit.

Between two sizes? Ask yourself the right question

  • You want support for leg and glute sessions: take the smaller one.
  • You want comfort for everyday wear or long days: take the larger one.
  • You have curvy hips and a small waist: go by your hip measurement first, the high waistband will adapt.

Signs you've picked the right size

  • The waistband stays put without rolling when you bend over.
  • The leggings stay opaque when you squat in front of the mirror.
  • No wrinkles behind the knees and no extra fabric at the ankles.
  • You can move freely, without an uncomfortable tight feeling.
